Cambridge is home to one of England's most famous Universities. The early students settled in the city after being driven out from Oxford University in 1209. Today there are 32 colleges making up what is generally referred to as Cambridge University. You will have time to explore some of these colleges along with there magnificent courtyards, buildings and bridges that span the River Cam. Visit the most famous colleges such as, Kings College, founded in 1441, Trinity College, founded in 1546 and Queens College, founded in 1448.
Relax and enjoy lunch on the river bank and take time to stroll along the River Cam, or relax whilst enjoying a punt ride. The more adventurous may like to try punting themselves. You could take an open deck bus tour around the city sights. Visit the Fitzwilliam Museum which has an outstanding collection of paintings, antiquities and ceramics. Cambridge offers excellent shopping with an abundance of high street shops along with many interesting craft shops and gift shops, there is also a central market and you will find many good estaurants.What is included in the price: return trip to Cambridge, parking fees, punt hire, guided city tour.
